It’s that time of year again! Dental Health Week!
Are you aware of how often you should be replacing your toothbrush? We recommend every 3 – 4 months, unless your brush is showing some wear, in which case, it’s time for a new one for sure. A good rule of thumb for children, is a change each school holidays, which might be an easy way to remember.
Something else to remember is that sugar isn’t the only villain when it comes to being harmful to your teeth. You might not be aware that acidic drinks, such as fruit juice, can soften and harm your teeth. You don’t have to go without a few treats now and then, that would be unfair, but if you remember to rinse or sip water after your treats you will minimize the risk of damaging those pearly whites. It’s easy really!
