Conventional Dentures

Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth and help restore your smile. Whether you have lost all of your natural teeth due to injury, tooth decay or gum disease, dentures can replace those missing teeth!

The benefits of using dentures to replace missing teeth is that it makes it easier to eat and speak better than you could without teeth, the things that people often take for granted. Dentures can be made to closely resemble your natural teeth so there isn’t much change to your appearance and may even improve the look of your smile!

There are several different types of denture’s:

  • Conventional: This full removable denture is made and placed in your mouth after the remaining teeth are removed and tissues have healed, which may take several months.

  • Immediate: This removable denture is inserted on the same day that the remaining teeth are removed so you don’t have to be without teeth during the healing period, but may need to have the denture relined or remade after your jaw has healed.

  • Partial : A partial denture is designed to replace a few missing teeth by using your existing natural teeth to support the denture and can be either made in an acrylic or metal base.

  •  Implant supported denture: An implant-supported denture is used when a person doesn’t have any teeth in the jaw, but has enough bone in the jaw to support implants. An implant-supported denture has special attachments that snap onto attachments on the implants which also reduces any movement of the denture
