At Australia Dental Clontarf our Dentists take the safety of our patients, our staff and their families very seriously. We follow ADA (Australian Dental Association) Guidelines for infection control, which includes minimising the risk of transmitting viruses including COVID-19.

As the Australian government acknowledges dental practices as an essential service, we would like to inform you that Australia Dental Clontarf has chosen to remain open throughout this time to help the community with their dental emergencies.

We would like to assure our patients that Australia Dental Clontarf are following all advice from the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee as well as the Australian Dental Association by implementing Level 3 restrictions to our practice. This means that Australia Dental Clontarf will be limiting treatment to emergency services only for the time being.

Australia Dental Clontarf has introduced additional infection control precautions to help minimise the risk of COVID-19. These additional measures include:

  • Staff thoroughly cleaning our waiting room and reception area between every patient. All magazines, books and toys have also been removed.
  • Appointments have been scheduled appropriately to minimise the time spent and number of people in the waiting room. If our patients prefer, you are also welcome to wait in your car and be contacted by reception when the dentist is ready to commence your appointment.
  • Patients will be asked to mouth rinse in the surgery prior to their appointment commencing.
  • Staff have been advised to stay home if they are unwell in any way.
So that Australia Dental Clontarf can continue to keep our patients and staff healthy and safe, we kindly ask that:
  • You don’t attend an appointment at this time if you have returned from overseas in the last 14 days.
  • Please do not attend for an appointment if you are unwell and experiencing any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, flu-like symptoms and diarrhea.
  • Please do not attend for an appointment if you have been in contact with someone who has confirmed or is currently being tested for COVID-19.
  • If possible, that children and families do not attend your dental appointment with you unless absolutely necessary.
  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided at the front desk upon entering the practice.
If you have any concerns or are unsure whether your dental needs are an emergency, please contact our friendly reception team for guidance.

As always, our goal is to continue providing exceptional care for our patients and we appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this time. Thank you for working with us to implement extra precautions to ensure a safe environment for our patients and staff.

Take care,

From the entire team at Australia Dental Clontarf
